Purpose: To inform the public of the plight of the Bathurst/Finch Community and the closure of the Branson Urgent Care Centre.

Meet on the sidewalk in front of the Urgent Care Centre of Branson Hospital:

We are requesting approximately 50 to 60 people for the event. We will need those interested to attend a meeting at the Finch/Bathurst Hub building on the northwest corner of the intersection on May 8th at 5:00 pm to meet with team leaders, to receive information on what to do and how to behave and to make placards for the event.

On May 10th at 4:15 pm the participants will meet in the north part of the Branson parking lot. The group will be broken up into 2 sub-groups. One group will assemble on the north side of Finch Avenue opposite the Urgent Car Centre. The second group will assemble on the south side of Finch Avenue in front of the Urgent Care Centre. They will have placards with our messages on it. They will stand near the curb holding up the placards facing the vehicular traffic on Finch so that people in passing cars will be able to read the message. People in the group not holding placards will wave at the passing cars to get their attention. You can, if you want to, chant an appropriate slogan approved by your team leader. One or two participants will have placards with messages for the pedestrians on the sidewalk. In addition, we will provide the groups with flyers to hand out to pedestrians walking by our demonstration and the people who are not holding placards can hand these flyers out to pedestrians.
